In this high tech society other then finding girlfriends through the internet... so i will just introduce to you some of the famous online programs or webpage which will help you in finding your online date, thier advantages and disadvantages...

1) MIRC

Wow this one is one of the classic program where you need to choose a nickname and go into a channel like #basketball, #1985, #teens then in the channel you can find a lot of people where you can chat either in the channel or private chat with them by double clicking on their name... For Singapore user they will usually go into galaxynet under the server... But 1st you need to understand their language... The first time they will ask is "asl?"

Others: "eh wei cai what's asl? izit scolding you "another sleeping log?" LOL how they know you like to sleep?"

weicai: "... it's age/sex/location la...."

yeah so i will now carry on with the advantage and disadvantages...

Advantage

• You get to talk to them REAL TIME.. so it's like msn talking with strangers rather than your friends
• You can talk to a lot of people at a single time

Disadvantage

• You can't know how the person looks like unless they are willing to send you their pic (which might not be real)
• You will get kick out of a channel if the channel opers is not happy with you
• YOU WILL NV KNOW WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO (e.g. sometimes i will change to a girl's nick and talk to boys which they don't even know... so who knows maybe you thought you are talking to a pretty lady but you are talking to me...)
• Sometimes the server crash
• Too old I don't think people are using it now when msn came out...

others: "Eh weicai how come you so strange one why you put a lady nick and talk to guys you gay ah?

weicai: " What's your problem? sometimes you know when you change to lady's nick then people will talk to you cause in MIRC the guys are despo so they see girls nick they will just private chat them... so fun ma"

others: "Oh so you despo also la"

weicai: "...."

Okay secondly

2) Friendster

Friendster... Wooo it came out in 2002 as a social networking service... it was the top social network service until myspace came in but i will not talk about my space cause Singapore uses friendster more... you can get to know your friends's friend which Yeah in Friendster you can really know alot of people...

Advantage

• People will display their pictures so you will know who you want to know
• you can know your friend's friend's friends or anyone who have the same hobby or same area as you
• Easy to use people can write testimonial/comments to each other
• Can keep track of your friend's  update/birthday

Disadvantage

• Unable to talk to each other real time so when you send them a msg you might need to wait for a very long time
• Restrict profile to certain layers so unless you are their friends you can't really see their profile.

Basically i think friendster is a very good social tool to find your cyber dates and i've heard so much on how people find their love using friendster... So people might ask how do a approach them?

one of the simple way is to send smiles (you can start by sending them smiles if they are interested in talking to you too they will reply by saying thanks for your smiles or start talking to you)

so once you engage in a conversation is good for you to add them in msn so you can don't need to wait so long to wait for her reply so the rest is up to you...

WARNING

Photos in friendster might not be as good as real person... like those tv products say AS SHOWN AS TV BUT.... there's a thing call ANGLE SHOT which is damn scary angle shot means the person look the nicest only on that angle so if you look at the person in other angle is KNS... lol

Scary thing number 2 PHOTOSHOP.. photoshop is a very powerful program which can make a ugly ducking into a swan... can remove pimple, make skin fair, make black white, make white black... Cool right so beware... you might not get what you see... But still friendster is damn good to make friends

3) Facebook

Facebook it can fight friendster because of it's interactive applications... Something like friendster but it include has a lot of interaction for users....

Advantage

• Same as friendster
• Can really update you what your friends are doing
• Can organise events and send invitations to people and know who will be coming for your events
• A lot of flirting programs (Shall introduce 2 to you)

Disadvantage

• too many programs until you blur
• cannot talk to each other real time

Applications

i shall intro to you 2 application that will help you in your quest of finding cyber dates

1) flirtable

This program allows you to browse profiles so if you don't like you can just press skip or if you like you can press flirt or msg the person so the person will receive the flirt alerts and see if he/she wants to reply you... Most will add them in msn too

2) Human Pet

Human pet is about the same but then you will need points to buy people so you become their owner...

Yeah so all the programs are very interactive....
